Xiaomi launched the new cheapest 5G phone in India earlier this year with the Mi 10i. It was also touted to be the cheapest 108MP camera phone at that time but arrived with outdated Android 10 OS. Now almost four months after the Indian debut the company has finally started rolling out the Android 11 OS update based on MIUI 12.
Yes, Xiaomi Mi 10i is finally receiving the much-awaited Android 11 update in India. The new update brings build number V12.0.2.0.RJSINXM comes with some standard Android 11 features which are hidden due to MIUI 12. Further, the update also adds April 2021 security patch along with the Android 11 OS.
As per the source, the update is currently marked as ‘Stable Beta’. This means that the roll-out is limited to only a few Mi 10i units in India. It will be mass rolling out in the coming days so keep checking under the About the device of the settings app. Sadly, the update doesn’t bring the latest MIUI 12.5 and we are still unsure when will the Mi 10i will get this update.
