SD778G

Qualcomm yet again announces its latest mid-range processor after the SD780 5G and SD765G with the new SD778G SoC. Yes, Qualcomm introduces another cheaper 5G chipset for the mid-range gaming segment which will be powering most of the upcoming 5G smartphones later this year.

The new Qualcomm SD778G SoC also supports the new mmWave 5G modem. It also features AI-powered noise suppression and also gets 120fps gaming support. The new X53 5G Modem-RF System delivers truly global 5G across all spectrums.

SD778G

The SD778G SoC comes with 2.4 GHz clockes octa-core Kyro 670 SoC along with Adreno 642L GPU with support for 144Hz refresh rates for FHD+ display. It also comes with Game Color Plus and Adreno HDR Fast Blend for better rendering of HDR10+ graphics. It is based on a 6nm process similar to SD780G.

There is Qualcomm Spectra 570L ISP support which enables to capture of three 25 MP photos at once and is the very first 7-series chip to do this. It also brings smooth
zooming and HDR10+ video capture support. It comes with camera support of up to 192MP.

The new SD778G comes with connectivity options like FastConnect 6700 that supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and faster RAM aka LPDDR5. Lastly, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G will also come with QC5 fast charge support with whopping 100W fast charging speeds.
