Looks like we got another custom skin on the way now it’s for Xiaomi sister company POCO. Yes, after Realme moving on from ColorOS to its new RealmeUI last year now we have a similar decision been made by POCO. We all saw POCO F1 launching the first powerful phone with a different version of MIUI.
But in recent days we saw there is hardly any difference between the POCO version of MIUI and the original MIUI found on Redmi and Xiaomi phones. Yes, even the icons and launcher on both POCO and Redmi devices look identical. So now we probably have some exciting news that might make you happy and even sad as POCO decided to make its own skin POCO UI.
As per the interview, POCO has officially confirmed that they will not launch any POCO phone based on Android One OS. Further, they even confirmed the POCO M3 Pro 5G will be their first affordable 5G phone. In the same interview, POCO has now spilled the beans about their future plans of introducing POCO UI.
As per the post, POCO confirmed that they are busy developing the first custom skin based on MIUI specially made for POCO devices. The company also confirmed that they will still be using the MIUI but with some custom features. Further, the brand also states that the features will be added based on customer feedback on the community & social media.
Lastly, the company expects that POCO UI will start hitting devices by late 2021. POCO has also planned on developing its custom skin from scratch if it gains more market shares in the coming months.
