Yes, the big news is here for Indian users who are using their WhatsApp as a daily driver to connect with their friends and family. In the past, WhatsApp has been forcing people to accept their new Privacy Policy for the past year. Initially, the deadline to accept the terms was set on Feb 8 due to huge backlash from the customers in India FaceBook had extended the date till May 15.
Later WhatsApp has completely removed the deadline for accepting the terms as it got a lot of criticism faced from users. With many users are still not agreeing to the updated Privacy policy made by WhatsApp, the company has now decided to trim off some of the features. Yes, WhatsApp stated that the users who don’t accept the new terms will no longer get access to the chat list. They will also not able to make or receive calls and even not able to receive the messages in few weeks.
Now we have got a new report that might give a big shocker for WhatsApp users. Now the company has taken a U-turn and decided to scrap the account completely. As per the report, WhatsApp told the Delhi High Court that, they will delete accounts of those users in India who will not accept the new privacy policy.
As per the lawyer, Mr. Kapil Sibbal gave a statement “We have asked users to agree to the policy. If they don’t agree we will delete them… there is no deferment of policy“
