Looks like we finally got the HONOR brand back on track after a long gap. Yes, HONOR has now announced its cheaper 5G mid-range phone with Honor Play 5 in China today. The new Honor Play 5 comes in three colors with Midnight Black, Silver, and Icelandic Fantasyland. It will go on sale from 25 May in China.
Design:
The new Honor Play 5 will sport a waterdrop display on the front with slimmer bezels. On the back, the new Honor Play 5 features an iPhone-like quad-camera setup under a square-shaped camera module with LED flash. It features an in-display fingerprint scanner. Honor Play 5 will also be super slim in terms of thickness as it measures 7.46 mm thick. It weighs just 179g.

The Honor Play 5 sports 6.5 inches FHD+ OLED display with standard 60Hz refresh rates. It comes with MediaTek Dimesnity 800U SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.
It features quad-rear cameras with a 64MP main sensor with f/1.9 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.0 aperture, and dual 2MP depth plus macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. It features a 16MP selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE, 5G, and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Dual Frequency (L1 + L5) GPS, NavIC, NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, FM Radio and Bluetooth 5.1. The Honor Play 5 comes with a 3800 mAh battery along with 66W Fast charging support.
The new Honor Play 5 5G runs on Android 11 with Magic UI 4.0 on top.
