Looks like Acer is back with some new upgrades for its laptops and desktop at the annual event Acer@next. Yes, Acer has now announced not one or two but four new models of Chromebook. Not just that the company has also included the world’s first 17 inches display Chromebook too.
Acer Chromebook 317:
Acer Chromebook 317 is the world’s first Chromebook to ship with 17 inches display. Further, the company also mentions “all the workspace they need for enjoying streamed content and getting more done.” The new Acer Chromebook 317 sports 17.3 inches FHD+ touchscreen display with an anti-glare coating and narrow bezels.
The laptop also gets a full-sized keyboard with a numeric keypad with dual upward-facing speakers. It is powered by the latest Intel Celeron processors along with Intel Wi-Fi 6(Gig+) and up to 10 hours of battery life. It also includes2 x USB 3.2 Type-C ports, 2 x standard USB Type-A ports, a headphone combo jack, and a microSD card slot.
Acer Chromebook Spin 713:
The next is the upgraded model of last year’s launched Acer Chromebook Spin 713. The new convertible Chromebook is now powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors along with the world’s first Intel Evo platform-verified Chromebook. It features a premium design with an aluminum chassis, military-grade (U.S. MIL-STD 810H) durability.
The new Acer Chromebook Spin 713 sports 13.5 inches taller display with a resolution of 2256×1504p. As it’s convertible it gets four new modes like a laptop, tablet, tent, or display mode. Spin 713 is also said to offer a 10-hour battery life and thanks to fast charging it can offer up to four hours on a 30-minute charge. It also gets the latest Thunderbolt 4 connectivity for data transfer.
Acer Chromebook 514 and 314:
Lastly, Acer also announced two new Chromebooks with Acer Chromebook 514 and Chromebook 314. The Chromebook 514 is powerful as it comes with Chromebook is now powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors. The additional features like the fast wake from sleep and quick charging for the battery that is said to last up to 10 hours.
The Chromebook 514 also comes with dual USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4, a backlit keyboard, and an optional embedded fingerprint reader. It also gets great build quality with a metal top cover and the machine is verified to provide MIL-STD 810H military-grade durability. Lastly, the new Chromebook 514 also includes Intel Wi-Fi 6(Gig+) and Gorilla Glass-covered trackpad.
The Acer Chromebook 314 is the most affordable Chromebook from the company. As it cheaper Chromebook it comes powered by a MediaTek MT8183 octa-core processor along with 15-hours of uptime. It sports a 14-inches FHD IPS LCD display with just 7.3mm narrow bezels. It comes with a USB Type-C port for connectivity options.

The new Acer Chromebook 317 will be available in June starting at $379.99. The Chromebook Spin 713 will go on sale from June starting at $699.99. The Acer Chromebook Spin 514 will go on sale in October for starting price of $599.99. Lastly, Chromebook 314 will go on sale in July starting at $269.99.
