Samsung has finally launched its first mid-range 5G in India with Galaxy M42 5G smartphone today. The new Galaxy M42 5G comes in two colors with Dot Black and Prism Dot Gray colors. The device will go on sale from May 1 through Samsung.com and Amazon India.
Design & Processor:
The new Galaxy M42 5G will again come with a plastic back with a glossy finish with a new design this time. The new Galaxy M42 5G will sport 6.6 inches FHD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The new Galaxy M42 5G is powered by new SD750G SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Cameras:
The new Galaxy M42 will feature iPhone 11 like quad-rear cameras with LED flash. The new Galaxy M42 5G comes with a 48MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/2.0, 8MP 123-degrees Ultra-wide angle lens with an aperture of f/2.2, and a 5MP macro plus depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 with LED flash. There is a 20MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.2.
Connectivity & Battery:
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 5G, Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack, FM Radio, and in-display fingerprint scanner. The Galaxy M42 5G comes with 5000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging. Samsung Galaxy M42 5G runs on Android 11 with One UI 3.1 on top.
The new Galaxy M42 5G comes with a price tag of Rs.21,999/- for 6GB+128GB & Rs.23,999/- for 8GB+128GB in India. Galaxy M42 5G is the cheapest 5G phone from Samsung in India. The launch offer includes flat Rs.2000/- cashback for HDFC Bank Credit Card users. Further Samsung is offering an introductory price at Rs.19,999/- for 6GB and 8GB for 21,999/- in India for a limited period.
