Asus finally introduces its first flagship gaming phone with ASUS ROG Phone 5. The new ASUS ROG Phone 5 will arrive in Black & White colour and will go on sale from April 15 at 12:00 PM IST. It will be Flipkart Exclusive in India.
The new ASUS ROG Phone 5 with 8GB+128GB cost Rs.49,999 , 12GB+256GB at 57,999/- and ROG Phone 5 Pro 16GB+512GB Rs.69,999/- in India. We also got 18GB RAM with 512GB which is named as ROG Phone 5 Ultimate cost Rs.79,999/- in India.
The launch offers include cost EMI and 3 months of free Stadia Pro. The ASUS ROG Phone 5 gets a new Aeroactive cooler that cools the device during heavy gaming which uses the secondary USB Type-C port on the side to connect.
Asus ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate:
Asus also adds the new Asus ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate this year. The difference is that the standard variant of ROG Phone 5 doesn’t feature rear Air Triggers. The ROG Phone 5 Pro and Ultimate do come with rear Air Triggers. Further, the Pro comes with 12GB RAM and Ultimate with 18GB RAM rest of all the specs remain same.
The new ASUS ROG Phone 5 looks similar to the predecessor with a slight change in camera placement. ASUS ROG Phone 5 will look similar to the predecessor with the standard 18:9 aspect ratio display on the front with slimmer bezels. On the left, there is a USB Type-C port for attaching the various kind of accessories. On the right, we have got the power button with volume rockers. This time ASUS ROG Phone 5 also gets an RGB display on the back for notification that can be customised using an app.
The new ASUS ROG Phone 5 will sport 6.8 inches 144Hz refresh rates Samsung AMOLED FHD+ display. The device features HDR10+, Always On HDR support and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on top. It measures 10.29 mm thick which is probably due to the larger battery size. It weighs 238g.
The new ASUS ROG Phone 5 comes with SD888 SoC coupled with 12GB/16GB/18GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage. The ASUS ROG Phone 5 will ship with triple rear cameras with LED flash aligned horizontally. This time the ASUS ROG Phone 5 features a 64MP Sony IMX686 main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 13MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture and 5MP macro sensor with LED flash. The new ASUS ROG Phone 5 features a 24MP selfie shooter. It comes with 4K slo-mo and 8K video recording.
The new ASUS ROG Phone 5 comes with dual stereo speakers with dual NXP TFA9874 smart amplifiers DIRAC audio technology & Cross Talk cancellation tech. The device gets X mode to boost the performance further for heavy gaming. It also features dedicated Gaming profile customisation built into the ROG UI. It comes with side-mounted Air triggers 5 with Touch support for the perfect gaming experience.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE, VoLTE and 5G support, A-GPS, GLONASS, Dual Frequency GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio port, Wifi-6, Bluetooth 5.1 and in-display fingerprint scanner. The new ASUS ROG Phone 5 will pack a 6000 mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. It will also have support for 5G networks and runs on Android 11 out of the box.
