OnePlus was about to introduce the very own first smartwatch aka the OnePlus Watch earlier in 2015 but got delayed. Further we even saw rumors hitting about OnePlus Watch will be launching this year which again got delayed indefinetly. Now finally OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has revealed some details about its very first smartwatch in an interview.
As per the source, Pete Lau the co-founder of OnePlus has revealed that they are still working on the new OnePlus Watch which is not ready for official launch yet. In the interview Pete Lau confirmed that OnePlus will laucnh its first watch with Google Wear OS support.
He also revealed that OnePlus Watch will be compatible with any Android phone runiing above Android OS 5.0 and iOS 10. Further, Pete Lau expressed that there is lot improvement needed for connectivity between the Wear OS ecosystem, Android TV, and Android smartphones.
Sadly, still we are not sure when exactly the OnePlus Watch will go official. Hope the OnePlus Watch will not be rebranded version of Oppo Watch.
