Every year we get rumors about OnePlus planning to launch affordable flagship to take on the competition with its Lite model. But every year this rumor will never turn out to be true and yet again we have new reports coming about the cheaper flagship OnePlus 9 Lite. Yes, OnePlus is now planning to introduce a competitor to the super successful Galaxy S20 FE with OnePlus 9 Lite.
As per the source, OnePlus is considering to launch not two but three new devices with OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and now the OnePlus 9 Lite. Previous leaks revealed some different name called OnePlus 9 SE which is now turned as OnePlus 9 Lite. Anyway, the report further reveals that the OnePlus 9 Lite will be a lot cheaper than the OnePlus 9 & OnePlus 9 Pro.

It also confirms that the OnePlus 9 Lite will have the same specs as the OnePlus 8T 5G and might also have a similar design. But OnePlus might use different materials to built the device this time. So any guess? yes, it’s Plastic, the OnePlus 9 Lite might come with a polycarbonate back when compared with the premium glass and metal body on the OnePlus 8T.

The report clearly mentions that the OnePlus 9 Lite will be powered by outdated SD865 SoC whereas the other two aka OnePlus 9 & OnePlus 9 Pro with SD888 SoC. The report also reveals that the OnePlus 9 Lite might start at a price tag of $600 (Rs.44,300/-) whereas the OnePlus 9 anywhere between $780 to $800 in the US. We know that OnePlus will price it a lot cheaper in India may be under Rs.35,000/-.
The report also confirms that the OnePlus 9 Lite might sport the same FHD+ display with a 120Hz or 90Hz refresh rate flat AMOLED display. It will also come with 65W fast charging support. The new OnePlus 9 Lite, OnePlus 9 & OnePlus 9 Pro are scheduled to launch by Q1 of 2021. More details will be out in the coming months.
