Previously at the annual conference held in Aug Jio revealed that they have partnered with Google to launch some affordable 5G devices in India. Later we got some leaks revealing the plan details of the next gen of telecom aka 5G. Later we probably got leaks revealing that Jio might launch 5G with completely made in India equipments.
Now RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani has just announced that Jio will launch the 5G services next year in India. Yes, the roll-out of Jio 5G services will begin as early as the second half of 2021. Further, RIL Chairman touted that the new Reliance Jio 5G will be part of Atmanirbhar Bharat policy and use the majority of Made in India equipments.
Further speaking, Mukesh Ambani also revealed that to speed-up the 5G roll-out Indian policy steps needed. Adding to this he said “I assure you that Jio will pioneer the 5G revolution in India in the second half of 2021. It will be powered by an indigenous developed network, hardware, and technology components.”
So with success of 4G networks in India Jio lead and made history, will the same going to repeat next year have to wait and watch. With the 5G announcement we think Jio is way ahead than its competitors Airtel and Vi.
