Honor is about to announce its first flagship after the separation from sister company Huawei with the new Honor V40. Previously we got a leak revealing that the Honor V40 series may launch by Jan 12 in China. Later we even got an alleged render showing the Honor V40 on one side of the display.
Now we have just spotted the new Honor V40 passing through another new benchmark called GameBench. As per the listing, the Honor V40 is listed as NWE-AN10 which is still running on Android 10 OS which is disappointing. Further moving on the alleged Honor V40 is now using MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC which is strange.
This might be the first time ever Honor using a third-party chipset for its flagship with the Honor V40 series. Anyway, the listing doesn’t specify the exact chipset name but reveals the GPU details with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU which indirectly confirms Dimensity 1000+ SoC.
Further, the device will now sport a 90Hz refresh rate display as per the listing. Previous leaks suggested a 120Hz refresh rate display with a 240Hz touch sampling rate. We probably think the test is run on a 90Hz refresh rate setting which may be one of the reasons.
Apart from this nothing much about the new Honor V40 is revealed at the moment.
