Previously we got reports about Sony’s plans to launch a new set of devices earlier next year with Xperia 1 III, Xperia L5 & Xperia 10 III. We even spotted the Xperia 10 III whose key specs were out and was rumoured to carry more than five cameras. Now we have one more leak coming right from China which confirms the new Xperia 10 III Compact in works.
Sony had launched their last Compact series with Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact way back in 2018. And after almost two year gap, Sony is now planning to launch their next Compact series with Sony Xperia 1 III Compact. The source reveals that Sony might bring the first Compact phone in early 2021.
The source also reveals that Xperia 1 III Compact will be the first device to be powered by Qualcomm’s unannounced SD775 SoC. Apart from that, the Xperia 1 III Compact will sport 5.5 inches unknown resolution display on the front. Nothing much about the new Xperia 1 III Compact is revealed at the moment. Looks like the Xperia 1 III Compact will be more premium model than the upcoming Xperia 10 III.
