Yes, you heard it right with Apple beating the race of its very first 5nm based Apple A14 Bionic SoC we saw Huawei to jumping on with Kirin 2100 SoC. Now its time for Samsung to jump on to the 5nm race with its custom Exynos 1080 SoC. After the success of so-called mid-range chipset Exynos 980 which went official last year with Vivo X30 series. The company is back with successor the new Exynos 1080 SoC.
Samsung has officially revealed that Exynos 1080 SoC to go official in China with 5G support on Nov 12. Previously Samsung had revealed the partial specs of the new Exynos 1080 SoC. Lastly, we even have confirmation that Vivo to announce the first device with Vivo X60.
Exynos 1080 SoC:
The new Exynos 1080 SoC is the first Samsung chipset built on 5nm process whose details are still not revealed. The new Exynos 1080 SoC comes with four cores of Cortex A78 clocked at 2.1 GHz and remaining four cores of Cortex A77 clocked at 2.3 GHz. The new Exynos 1080 SoC is expected to perform 20% more than the predecessor.
