Looks like we finally get the affordable 5G chipset aka the MediaTek Dimensity series smartphones in India. After a successful debut in China, we saw many brands like Realme, Redmi, Oppo, Vivo etc launching their affordable 5G phones with Dimensity series chipset. Later we even got official teaser revealing about Realme plans to rollout the Realme X7 series to India soon.
Now we have one more official confirmation from none other than MediaTek India. As per the interview with Anku Jain, MD, MediaTek India, who confirmed that they will launch the MediaTek Dimensity chipset in India later this year. Not just that, he also confirmed that Realme will be the only brand launching the device powered by Dimesity SoC in India this year.
Yes, the new Realme X7 series might be the only device launching later this year with the latest MediaTek Dimensity SoC in India. So this brings us to the conclusion that the Global variant will not differ from one launched in China after all. Further, he also revealed that as of now there will be no more devices launching with Dimensity 5G SoC this year, but have to wait till 2021.
