Previously we saw only Google Pixel series and some Chinese brands like OnePlus and Nokia offering latest security patches ahead of the time. Now looks like there is some new entry into the race with none other than Samsung itself. Yes, yet again Samsung has surprised everyone with non-stop security patches to its Galaxy devices in the past.
Now Samsung has started rolling out the new Oct 2020 security patch to its 2019 most selling phone Galaxy A50. Yup, the Galaxy A50 becomes the first-ever Samsung and non-Pixel phone to receive the Oct security patch in the Globe. Currently, Samsung is rolling out the Oct 2020 patch to model number SM-A505FN.
The new update comes with build number A505FNXXS5BTI9 and weighs around 123MB in size. Sadly, Samsung doesn’t specify much about the update apart from Oct 2020. The update is being rolled out in Europe and the Philippines as of now and would be expanded to more countries in the coming weeks.
