Previously we saw Xiaomi showing the under-display selfie camera phone along with tri-fold display phone too. But sadly, both of them were never launched probably due to difficulties faced to manufacture the devices. Not just that Xiaomi even introduce the limited edition Mi Mix Alpha in China with a whopping price tag. Sadly, the device too didn’t go on sale as expected due to difficulty to make the device.
Now we have a new ray of hope coming which confirms that Xiaomi working on a foldable device after all. As per XDA Developers, they have spotted the alleged foldable phone codename listed on MIUI 12 based on Android 11 Beta update. The upcoming foldable phone from Xiaomi is codenamed as Cetus which true value for the method called isFlodAbleDevice.
The source also got some of the specs of the alleged Cetus which will be indeed powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor probably the SD875 SoC. It will ship with 108MP main rear sensor and will run on Android 11 with MIUI 12 on top. Apart from this nothing much about the alleged Xiaomi Cetus is revealed.
The source expects that the Xiaomi Cetus would be a premium foldable flagship with top-end specs. Sadly, there are no proofs whether the alleged Cetus will ever land in consumer’s hands next year.
