After almost two months of the official announcement of Pixel 4a, the device finally lands India. Yes, Google has finally launched the new budget phone aka Pixel 4a in India. Not just that Google also launches the new Google Nest Audio in India.
Google Pixel 4a:
The Pixel 4a looks exactly similar to previously leaked renders with punch-hole display and thicker bezels. On the back, the Pixel 4a comes with a single rear camera with LED flash that is inspired from Pixel 4 series. The Pixel 4a will sport 5.81 inches FHD+ flexible OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It gets Always-On display support along with HDR and Now playing.
The Pixel 4a is indeed powered by SD730G SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It weighs around 143g and measures 8.2 mm thick. Yet again the Pixel 4a comes with a polycarbonate body that makes the device feel lighter. The Pixel 4a got 12.2MP 77-degrees FOV single rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, OIS and LED flash.
The Pixel 4a comes with 8MP with 84-degrees FOV selfie shooter having an aperture of f/2.0. The Pixel 4a gets video recording support up to 4K at 30fps. The rear camera comes with HDR+, Night Sight, and Portrait Mode. It also comes with new Social share for quickly going from the viewfinder to sharing in a third-party app. The device also comes with a dedicated Titan M Security module which the Pixel 4 series has.
The Pixel 4a comes with connectivity options like Dual Band Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Single SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support along with USB Type-C port. All this is packed by 3140 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and runs on Android 10 OS out of the box. The device also gets Dual front-firing speakers.
The new Google Pixel 4a will arrive with 6GB+128GB version which is priced at Rs.31,999/- but for a limited period, it will sell at Rs.29,999/- in India. The Pixel 4a will also go on sale from Oct 16 through Flipkart.
Google Nest Audio:
The Google Home Smart speaker might launch as Google Nest Audio which comes under Nest branding. The device will be available in five colours with Charcoal Black and Chalk White, Sage Green, Sand and Sky. The device measures 17.5×12.4×7.8cm and weighs around 1Kg. Yes, the Nest Audio comes with the all-plastic body.
The Google Nest Audio comes with fabric on the body which we previously saw on Google Home Mini. The device will come with Google Assistant support and is intended for stationary use. It comes with 75mm woofer, 19mm tweeter, 3 long-range mics for always active voice. It gets 50% more bass & 75% more volume than the original Google Home.
The device comes with four LED lights glowing on the front which tells us that Google Assistant is active. The mic can be deactivated by a slide switch on the back of the device. There is a power cable located next to the G-logo to powering the device which is proprietary in nature. The Google Nest Audio comes with Dual-band Wifi and Bluetooth 5.0 support.
The Google Nest Audio might cost around Rs.7999/- in India, but for the BBD the device is priced at Rs.6999/-. It will go on sale from Oct 16 through Flipkart.
