Looks like the wait is over and we finally got the first-ever flagship from Apple with new iPhone 12 series. After a long wait, Apple finally announces the new iPhone 12 series today. This time Apple has launched not three but four new iPhone 12 models which includes iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro & the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Without much wait, let’s start with the specs of the new iPhone 12 series.
Apple iPhone 12 Mini & iPhone 12:
Display & Design:
The new iPhone 12 Mini & iPhone 12 will arrive in the same set of colours with Black, White, Red, Blue and Green. The new iPhone 12 Mini will sport smaller 5.4 inches OLED display whereas the iPhone 12 with larger 6.1 inches OLED display. Both of them comes with a notch over the top carrying the Face ID.
On the back, the new iPhone 12 Mini & iPhone 12 will feature the same iPhone 11 like dual rear cameras with a glossy glass back. It comes with iPhone 5 like aluminium chassis to give it a premium look and feel. The iPhone 12 & iPhone 12 Mini measures just 7.4 mm thick. Further, iPhone 12 weighs 164g and the iPhone 12 Mini weighs 135g.
The new iPhone 12 Mini & iPhone 12 will come with new Super Retina XDR display with a resolution of 2352*1170p (iPhone 12) & 2340*1080p (iPhone 12 Mini) along with new tougher protection on top with Corning’s latest Victus glass with Ceramic Sheild. Both the devices also feature Dolby Vision, HDR 10 support. Both the phones do come with an IP68 rating making it dust and water-resistant.
Processor:
The new iPhone 12 Mini & iPhone 12 comes powered by the world’s fastest Apple A14 Bionic SoC. The new Apple A14 Bionic is built on the TSMC 5nm process that gives a great performance. It features a new 6-core design for a 40% boost in CPU performance and a new 4-core graphics architecture for a 30% improvement in graphics. The A14 Bionic includes a new 16-core Neural Engine that is twice as fast, and capable of performing up to 11 trillion operations per second.
Cameras:
The iPhone 12 Mini & iPhone 12 will come with dual rear cameras with the 12MP Wide main sensor with f/1.6 aperture and 12MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture, 120-degrees FOV, 13mm focal length, OIS and LED flash. The device will also get Deep Fusion, Smart HDR 3 and improved Night Mode. It will also support Dolby Vision HDR video recording capabilities. Both the iPhones ships with 12MP f/2.2 aperture selfie cameras with FaceID support.
Connectivity & Battery:
Both the devices will come with Magsafe charging aka 15W wireless charging support. The entry-level iPhone 12 will boast 5G connectivity exclusive to US models & will support the faster mmWave standard. Apple will introduce Smart Data Mode which toggles between 4G and 5G based on app bandwidth with to increase the battery life.
The connectivity options include Wifi-6, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, lightning port and Dual SIM with 5G support. Apple will not include the charger and earphones along with the new iPhone 12 series. It comes with 20W fast charge support.
Pricing:
The new iPhone 12 Mini price starts at $699 (Rs.51,100/-) for base 64GB & $799 (Rs.58,500/-) for iPhone 12 with 64GB. Both the devices will come in three storage options with 64GB/128GB/256GB. The new iPhone 12 Mini will go on sale from November 13 whereas the iPhone 12 from Oct 23. The iPhone 12 will land in India on Oct 30 whereas iPhone 12 Mini on Nov 6. The iPhone 12 starts from 79,900 INR for 64GB, Rs.84,900 for 128GB and 256GB at Rs.94,900. The iPhone 12 Mini 64GB at 69,900/-, 128GB at Rs.74,900/- & 256GB at Rs.84,900/-.

Apple’s top-end iPhone 12 Pro & iPhone 12 Pro Max. The new iPhone 12 Pro & iPhone 12 Pro Max will arrive in Pacific Blue, Gold, Graphite and Silver. The new iPhone 12 Pro will sport smaller 6.1 inches OLED display whereas the iPhone 12 Pro Max with larger 6.7 inches OLED display. Both of them comes with a notch over the top carrying the Face ID.
The new iPhone 12 Pro & iPhone 12 Pro Max will come with new Super Retina XDR display along with the resolution of 2778*1284p (iPhone 12 Pro) & 2778*1446p (iPhone 12 Pro Max) & new protection on top with Corning’s latest Victus glass. It features stainless steel is once again and comes with a glass back. Both the phones do come with an IP68 rating making it dust and water-resistant.
Probably the iPhone 12 Pro series too look identical to iPhone 12 but with an additional camera on the back. The iPhone 12 Pro & iPhone 12 Pro Max measures slimmer at 7.4mm thick. Further, iPhone 12 Pro Max weighs 189g and the iPhone 12 Pro weighs 228g.

It will also support Dolby Vision HDR video recording capabilities. Apple iPhone 12 Pro series will also include the Apple ProRAW Combines computational photography into RAW images.
