Samsung has finally launched its first mid-range 5G Galaxy A42 5G smartphone at the Life Unstoppable event today. The new Galaxy A42 5G comes in three colours with Black, White and Gray colours. The device will go on sale from November this year starting from European markets.
No word about Indian launch and availability at the moment. The new Galaxy A42 5G comes with a price tag of 369 Euros (Rs.32,500/-).
Design & Processor:
The new Galaxy A42 5G will again come with plastic back with a glossy finish with a new design this time. The new Galaxy A42 5G will sport 6.6 inches FHD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The new Galaxy A42 5G is powered by new SD690 SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage.
Cameras:
The new Galaxy A42 will feature iPhone 11 like quad-rear cameras with LED flash. The new Galaxy A42 5G comes with 48MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/2.0, 8MP 123-degrees Ultra-wide angle lens with an aperture of f/2.2 and 5MP macro plus depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 with LED flash. There is a 20MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.2.
Connectivity & Battery:
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 5G, Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack, FM Radio and in-display fingerprint scanner. The Galaxy A42 5G comes with 5000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging. Samsung Galaxy A42 5G runs on Android 10 with One UI 2.5 on top.
