Samsung also announced the two new flagship tablet series with Tab S-series aka the Galaxy Tab S7 & Tab S7+. The new Galaxy Tab S7 & Tab S7+ are the first tablet to ship with dual rear cameras and 5G support. The new Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 series will go on sale from Aug 21 in select markets.
Design:
The new Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ look identical in terms of design but gets slightly different display. The new Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ measures 6.34mm and 5.7 mm slim making it the slimmest tablet out there. The Galaxy Tab S7 weighs around 495g and Galaxy Tab S7+ at 590g. It will ship in three colours with Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze or Mystic Silver.
Display:
The Galaxy Tab S7 series comes with a complete aluminium body which gives it a premium feel. The new Galaxy Tab S7 is the first-ever S-seres tablet sporting an 11 inches QHD+(WQXGA 2560 x 1600 pixels) TFT IPS LCD panel with 120Hz refresh rates. As it uses LCD panel the Galaxy Tab S7 comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The new Galaxy Tab S7+ sports 12.4 inches QHD+(WQXGA 2560 x 1600 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rates with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Processor:
Both the new Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ will ship with same SD865+ SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage & microSD card slot. It also comes with 5G support as it ships with Snapdragon X55 modem. Both the new Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ will ship with latest S-Pen having a latency of just 9ms. It also gets a so-called real feel and air gestures support.
Cameras:
As expected the Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ will ship with same Dual rear cameras with LED flash. The Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ features 13MP main sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 along with 5MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Both the devices ship with 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The rear cameras do come with support to shoot 4K videos @30fps.
Connectivity & Battery:
The Galaxy Tab S7 series does come with additional features like Wireless DeX, fast charging, data security Knox. The connectivity option includes USB Type-C port, Wifi-6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS, ANT and optional 5G support. The Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ comes with quad stereo speakers powered by AKG sound & Dolby Atmos support.
All this is packed by larger 7040 mAh battery on the Galaxy Tab S7 and whopping 10,090 mAh battery on the Galaxy Tab S7+ with support for 45W fast charging but will get 15W charger bundled instead.
Additional Accessories:
Samsung will also sell an additional accessory to make the Galaxy Tab S7 series complete laptop-like experience on a tablet. Yes, Samsung will bundle the offers a new keyboard cover with a built-in trackpad to give a laptop-like feel. With this accessory, one can also activate Wireless DeX feature.
Price:
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ with 6GB+128GB cost €900 (Rs.80,000/-) and the 6GB+128GB with 5G at €1100 (Rs.97,400/-). The 8GB+256GB cost €980 (Rs.87,200/-) and with 5G at €1180 (Rs.1,05,000/-). The Galaxy Tab S7 with 6GB+128GB cost €700 (Rs.62,300/-) and the 8GB+256GB at €780 (Rs.69,400/-) whereas the 5G with 6GB+128GB at €800 (Rs.71,200/-) and €880 for 8GB+256GB (Rs.78,300/-).
