Samsung announced the two new flagship tablet series with Tab S-series aka the Galaxy Tab S7 & Tab S7+ along with Galaxy Note20 series last month. The new Galaxy Tab S7 & Tab S7+ are the first tablet to ship with dual rear cameras and 5G support. Finally, Samsung ha launched the new Galaxy Tab S7 & Tab S7+ in India. Both the tablets will go on sale from Sept 7 in India.
Design:
The new Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ look identical in terms of design but gets slightly different display. The new Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ measures 6.34mm and 5.7 mm slim making it the slimmest tablet out there. The Galaxy Tab S7 weighs around 495g and Galaxy Tab S7+ at 590g. It will ship in three colours with Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze or Mystic Silver.
Display:
The Galaxy Tab S7 series comes with a complete aluminium body which gives it a premium feel. The new Galaxy Tab S7 is the first-ever S-seres tablet sporting an 11 inches QHD+(WQXGA 2560 x 1600 pixels) TFT IPS LCD panel with 120Hz refresh rates. As it uses LCD panel the Galaxy Tab S7 comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The new Galaxy Tab S7+ sports 12.4 inches QHD+(WQXGA 2560 x 1600 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rates with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Processor:
Both the new Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ will ship with same SD865+ SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage & microSD card slot. It also comes with 5G support as it ships with Snapdragon X55 modem. Both the new Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ will ship with latest S-Pen having a latency of just 9ms. It also gets a so-called real feel and air gestures support.
Cameras:
As expected the Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ will ship with same Dual rear cameras with LED flash. The Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ features 13MP main sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 along with 5MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Both the devices ship with 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The rear cameras do come with support to shoot 4K videos @30fps.
Connectivity & Battery:
The Galaxy Tab S7 series does come with additional features like Wireless DeX, fast charging, data security Knox. The connectivity option includes USB Type-C port, Wifi-6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS, ANT and optional 5G support. The Galaxy Tab S7 & Galaxy Tab S7+ comes with quad stereo speakers powered by AKG sound & Dolby Atmos support.
All this is packed by larger 7040 mAh battery on the Galaxy Tab S7 and whopping 10,090 mAh battery on the Galaxy Tab S7+ with support for 45W fast charging but will get 15W charger bundled instead.
Additional Accessories:
Samsung will also sell an additional accessory to make the Galaxy Tab S7 series complete laptop-like experience on a tablet. Yes, Samsung will bundle the offers a new keyboard cover with a built-in trackpad to give a laptop-like feel. With this accessory, one can also activate Wireless DeX feature. The Keyboard Cover for the tablets costs Rs 15,999 and Rs 17,999 respectively.
Price:
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ 6GB+128GB with 4G at Rs.79,999/- making it the costliest Android tablets right now in India. The Galaxy Tab S7 with 6GB+128GB cost Rs.55,999/- and the 4G with 6GB+128GB at Rs.63,999/- in India. Sadly, these tablets will not have 5G support in India.
