Samsung finally announced the much-awaited flagship of this year with Galaxy Note20 & Galaxy Note20 Ultra today. As expected the new Galaxy Note20 & Galaxy Note20 Ultra looks exactly similar to previously leaked renders. The new Galaxy Note20 will arrive in three colours with Mystic Bronze, Mystic Gray and Mystic Green whereas the Galaxy Note20 Ultra with Mystic Black & Mystic Bronze.
The new Galaxy Note20 & Galaxy Note20 Ultra will go on sale from Globally from Aug 21. The new Galaxy Note20 4G with 8GB+256GB cost €950 (Rs.85,500/-) & 5G variant at €1,023 (Rs.91,000/-) whereas the Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G with 12GB+256GB cost €1,266 (Rs.1,12,700/-) & 12GB+512GB at $1,449.99 (Rs. 1,08,445/-) .
Samsung Galaxy Note20:
The new Galaxy Note20 will come with metal chassis but the plastic back. Yes, a plastic back for the premium flagship which makes us disappointing. Probably we can expect the cheaper price tag for the Galaxy Note20 as it comes with some downgraded features when compared with Galaxy Note20 Ultra. Anyway, the new Galaxy Note20 measures 8.3 mm thick.
As expected the Galaxy Note20 will sport 6.7 inches flat standard 60Hz Super AMOLED FHD+ (1080x2400p) display with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. The new Galaxy Note20 will also get Xbox streaming feature along with S-Pen support.
The Galaxy Note20 is again powered by Exynos 990 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. This is the first time Samsung is ditching the microSD card support. The Galaxy Note20 features triple rear cameras with 12MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and Dual Pixel AF, 12MP f/2.2 Ultra-wide sensor along with 64MP f/2.0 aperture telephoto lens with 3x zoom & 30x Space zoom support with LED flash. Sadly, there is no support for Laser AF on the Galaxy Note20.
The Galaxy Note20 features same 10MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and Dual Pixel AF. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, 5G, NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS, NaVIC, USB Type-C, Wifi-6, Bluetooth 5.2 and AKG-optimized stereo speakers.
It also features IP68 rating making it dust and water-resistant. The Galaxy Note20 ships with 4300 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G:
The new Galaxy Note20 Ultra will come with new S-Pen which gets delay time of just 9ms that will be marketed jas the Real Feel. Not just that Samsung is partnering with Microsoft to automatic OneNote synchronization in addition to the familiar gesture commands. Further, the device will also come with Xbox Game Pass.
The new Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G will become the first device to optimization for gaming use via online streaming via Project xCloud and with Xbox Game pass almost 90 games will be available to play through Cloud.
The new Galaxy Note20 Ultra sports 6.9 inches QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display with 120Hz refresh rates. It will come with an aspect ratio of 19.3:9 along with latest Corning Gorilla Glass 7 on top. The device will use edge to edge curved panel when compared with Galaxy Note20.
Sadly, the new Galaxy Note20 Ultra uses the SD865+ SoC and the 4G variant with Exynos 990 SoC. It comes with 12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB storage space. The new Galaxy Note20 Ultra also features microSD card slot.
The new Galaxy Note20 Ultra ships with new redesigned 108MP mains sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 along with Dual Pixel Autofocus and dedicated Laser AF support. The device features dual 12MP sensors with one featuring ultra-wide sensor with an aperture of f/2.2 and other as a periscopic lens with an aperture of f/3.0 with 50x Space zoom support. So basically Samsung ditches the buggy 100x Space Zoom feature for the Galaxy Note20 Ultra.
The Galaxy Note20 Ultra will ship with 10MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.2 and also features Dual Pixel AF. The new Galaxy Note20 Ultra can record videos up to 8K at 30 fps. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, 5G, NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS, NaVIC, USB Type-C, Wifi-6, Bluetooth 5.2 and AKG-optimized stereo speakers.
The Galaxy Note20 Ultra measures 8.1 mm thick and comes with an IP68 rating making it dust and water-resistant. The Galaxy Note20 Ultra ships with 4500 mAh battery with 25W fast charging and 15W wireless fast charging support.
