Honor announces two new affordable smartphones in India today with the new Honor 9S and Honor 9A. The new Honor 9A comes in Midnight Black and Phantom Blue and Honor 9S will arrive in Blue and Black colours respectively.
The new Honor 9S with 2GB+32GB cost Rs.6499/- and only for the first sale, the device will come with a special price of Rs.5999/-. The Honor 9S will be exclusive to Flipkart and will go on sale from Aug 6. The Honor 9A with 3GB+64GB cost Rs.9999/- in India but for the first sale, it will cost Rs.8999/-. The Honor 9A will be exclusive to Amazon and will go on sale from Aug 6.
The new Honor 9A and Honor 9S looks identical in terms of design but come with different camera modules. The new Honor 9A features triple rear cameras whereas the Honor 9S with a single rear camera. The new Honor 9A & Honor 9S measures 9.04 mm and 8.4 mm thick and weighs 185g and 144g respectively.
The new Honor 9A sports 6.3 inches waterdrop HD+ display and Honor 9S with 5.45 inches 16:9 aspect ratio HD+ display. The new Honor 9A and Honor 9S are powered by Mediatek MT6762R SoC coupled with 3GB/2GB RAM and 64GB/32GB storage.
All the devices do come with microSD card slot for further storage expansion. The new Honor 9A features triple rear cameras with 13MP main with an aperture of f/1.8, 5MP ultra-wide sensor with an aperture of f/2.2 and 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture.The Honor 9S with single rear cameras with 8MP aperture of f/2.0.
The new Honor 9S features 5MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0, 8MP on the Honor 9A with an aperture of f/2.0. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, A-GPS, GLONASS, Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0 and micro USB port with 3.5 mm audio jack. The Honor 9A comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The new Honor 9S packs 3020 mAh battery and Honor 9A with larger 5000 mAh battery. None of them supports fast charging. All the three devices run on Android 10 with Magic UI 3.1 on top.
