Google has almost cancelled its annual developer event Google I/O this year due to the novel Corona Virus pandemic. Previously we had leaks suggesting that Google is working on the new range of Google Home smart speakers. It’s almost four years since the Google made its debut with Home series of smart speakers and later changed it to Nest series.
Now one of the Japanese certification websites has leaked the bunch of images showing the first look of the upcoming Google Nest smart speaker. As expected the new Google Home successor will now be arriving under Nest brand and looks similar to the predecessor. It comes with a cylindrical shape speaker with Google logo on the side.
The device is covered with chalk-coloured fabric which we already saw in various Google smart speakers in the past. Further, it comes bundled with 30W power adapter with barrel mouth and not the USB Type-C one. There is a mute button on the top with G logo below it. The device has a hole for charging on the bottom right corner.
According to the source, the Google Nest smart speaker is 220mm tall which is taller than the Google Home Max. It also comes with Wifi and Bluetooth 5.1 support. More details will appear in the coming weeks.
