Looks like Apple is planning to rebrand its most popular OS aka iOS this year. Not just that the name iPhone will also get an additional brand name this year as per the tipster. This comes to a major change after almost a decade of launch of the new iOS and iPhone smartphones.
As per the tipster, Apple will not call the operating system as iOS anymore but will be rebranded as iPhone OS. Yes, it will get the new iPhone OS similar to what we saw with iPad OS last year and the WatchOS. So this basically defines the exclusive OS for a particular device which might be plus point. Further, the OS will be exclusive to a particular product.
Apart from that, the other tipster confirmed that the iOS will be renamed to iPhone OS but also gave another leak. Yes, the tipster just revealed that Apple will change the simple iPhone name to Apple Phone from this year. This is again major change as Apple founder Steve Jobs launched the first-ever phone from the company with iPhone and now after almost a decade the company planning to completely change the name.
This might doesn’t go well among the Apple fans as it looks a bit weird to call as Apple Phone. So almost 12 years later the iPhone 12 might get a completely new name which might be called as Apple Phone 12.
