After the debut of Xiaomi Mi Box 4K in India, the company is planning to launch a lot cheaper alternative to Google Chromecast with its new Mi TV Stick. Yes, after Google and Amazon its now time for Xiaomi to bring some ultra-cheap casting solution with the new Mi TV Stick.
Now we have finally got the first look along with specs leaked for the new Mi TV Stick. As per the source, the Mi TV Stick was accidentally listed on Gearbest website today which revealed the first Android TV Stick from the company. Previously there were leaks about Xiaomi planning for a new set of IoT products in Europe which also included the Mi TV Stick.
As per the listing, the Mi TV Stick will be powered by Amlogic S905 quad-core processor the same one used on Mi Box S. It looks similar to any other Pendrive out there. It comes with 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. Mi TV Stick will also have support for 4K HDR, DTS-HD, Dolby Audio.
The connectivity option includes Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, HDMI 2.0, and USB Type-C. The new Mi TV Stick will run on Android OS with Google Play Store support. It will also have support for Voice controls thanks to Google Assistant. Sadly, the listing doesn’t reveal the pricing but as per the source, the Mi TV Stick will cost $79.99 (Rs.6,100/-).
