Looks like Samsung is planning to expand its foldable smartphone lineup this year. After the new Galaxy Fold Special Edition, we now have one more budget foldable coming with the new Galaxy Fold Lite. Yes, the new Galaxy Fold Lite will be the cheapest foldable smartphone till date by Samsung.
As per the source, the new Galaxy Fold Lite 4G is codenamed as Winner 2 which might have the same design as the Galaxy Fold. The new Galaxy Fold Lite 4G will ship with SD865 SoC but without 5G modem. The device will arrive with 256GB internal storage but no details about RAM. We can expect the Galaxy Fold Lite to have 8GB RAM.
The Galaxy Fold Lite will not use the UTG instead will retain the Plastic display what we saw on the Galaxy Fold. There will be smaller display on the outer portion which is equivalent to one seen on Galaxy Z Flip. So probably the display will just show notification and not for regular usage what we saw on Galaxy Fold.
The Galaxy Fold Lite will have the body made out the mix of aluminium and glass. It will be equipped by 2018, 2019 and 2020 parts. The Galaxy Fold Lite will be available in two colours with Mirror Black and Mirror Purple and comes with a price tag of $1099 (Rs.82,800/-) in the US. It will be available to all global regions.
