Looks like the first cheapest 5G phone is all set to go official very soon than expected. Previously we had various rumours about Xiaomi planning to launch sub $100 5G phone by end of this year. Now probably we have the one with the new Redmi 5G phone has now hit TENAA listing.
As per the listing, the alleged Redmi 5G phone is listed as Redmi M2004J7AC whose official name is still unknown. The device measures 8.99 mm thick and weighs around 209g. It looks similar to Redmi Note 9 series with the punch-hole display on the front and triple-rear cameras with LED flash. The device will arrive in blue, black, green, pink, red, white, and silver colours.
The new Redmi 5G phone sport 6.57 inches FHD+ OLED display with an aspect ratio 20:9. It comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device is powered by unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 800+ 5G SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage options. It also comes with a microSD card slot.
It features a triple rear camera with 48MP main shooter with LED flash. There is a 16MP selfie camera. All this is packed by 4420 mAh battery and comes with 22.5W fast charging support.
