Motorola is finally back into the premium segment with its new series called the Edge. The company has announced two devices with Motorola Edge & Motorola Edge+ in the US. Both the devices will be exclusive to Verizon. The new Motorola Edge+ will arrive in Thunder Grey and Smokey Sangria whereas Motorola Edge in Solar Black and Midnight Magenta colours.
The new Motorola Edge is priced at €699 (Rs.57,900/-) in Itlay. The Motorola Edge+ with 12GB+256GB at $999 (Rs.76,500/-). The new Motorola Edge & Motorola Edge+ will go on sale from May 14 in the US. No word about Indian pricing and availability.
The new Motorola Edge & Motorola Edge+ looks almost identical to each other with a glossy glass back and edge to edge display. It comes with metal sides with a screen covering the sides thanks to waterfall display.
The new Motorola Edge & Motorola Edge+ sports 6.7 inches FHD+ OLED 90Hz HDR10+ waterfall display with single punch-hole over the top left corner. The Motorola Edge is powered by mid-range SD765G SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage whereas the Motorola Edge+ with SD865 SoC coupled with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It uses in-display fingerprint scanner.
The new Motorola Edge & Motorola Edge+ features triple rear cameras with LED flash. The new Motorola Edge features 64MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.9 coupled with 16MP 117° Ultra-wide angle lens with an aperture of f/2.2 and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, f/2.4 aperture, Laser AF with LED flash. The Motorola Edge+ comes with 108MP main Samsung sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 remaining sensor are same as the Motorola Edge. Motorola Edge+ can record video up to 6k at 30fps, 4k 60fps.
Both the new Motorola Edge & Motorola Edge+ features 25MP selfie shooter. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and Dual-Mode 5G support, Dual-band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, in-display fingerprint scanner, GLONASS, Dual-frequency (L1+L5) GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port. Motorola Edge+ packs huge 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging, 15W wireless & 5W reverse charging support. Motorola Edge packs 4500 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Both the devices run on Android 10 out of the box.
