Looks like the flip phone is back to the market after premium flagships foldable smartphones like Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Moto Razr we now have the third brand with none other than LG. Yes, LG has quietly launched the LG Folder 2 4G smartphone in hometown South Korea.
The new LG Folder 2 4G is the successor to 2018 launched feature phone aka LG Folder. The new LG Folder 2 4G comes with a polycarbonate body and measures 18mm thick and weigh around 127g. The new LG Folder 2 4G will arrive in New Platinum Grey and White colours.
The LG Folder 2 4G sports 2.8 inches primary QVGA LCD display with secondary 0.9 inches mono screen on the front. The secondary display will show notifications such as text messages, calls, time, battery life and signal status. Below the main display, we have got the T9 keypad and dedicated SOS key on the back which lets you call a preregistered number by pressing three times quickly within 1.5 seconds.
The device also got AI voice service recognizes and answers the voice when the user presses the hotkey button and asks questions in weather, date, time, simple arithmetic, etc. The new LG Folder 2 4G is powered by SD210 SoC coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage with microSD card slot.
The LG Folder 2 4G comes with 2MP rear camera without LED flash. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE support, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and micro USB port with FM radio support. All this is packed by 1470 mAh battery and runs on custom OS.
LG Folder 2 4G is priced at 198,000 won (Rs.12,500/-) in South Korea and will go on sale from April 17.
