LG is all set to revamp its flagship lineup this year as they have decided to remove the G-series completely. Previously we saw various leaks revealing that the company planning to make the mid-range smartphone with SD765G instead of flagship one with the LG G9 ThinQ. Now LG has revealed the new name of the flagship lineup through its press release.
As per the source, the new LG flagship lineup will now be called as LG Velvet. It will be the first device to feature an all-new design philosophy. Yes, as per the previous press release LG showcased its new design inspired from nature with raindrop camera design that might make its debut from the new LG Velvet series.
Further, LG also confirmed that they will no longer name their flagship lineup with alphanumeric names instead will have two key characteristics. So basically the new LG Velvet series might become the first-ever LG phone featuring curved OLED panel. With this, we can now confirm that LG G9 ThinQ is no longer an upcoming product from LG.
Further, some of the fans has released a bunch of renders showing the new LG Velvet series smartphone. As per the renders, the new LG Velvet will sport punch-hole curved display on the front with minimum bezels.
On the back, as expected the waterdrop triple rear cameras looks stunning. The device will use an in-display fingerprint scanner and will have a power button on the right and volume rocker to the left.
