Previously we saw LG announcing the LG V60 ThinQ with the same old design and flagship SD865 SoC. Now we are still waiting for the successor to the new LG G8 ThinQ aka LG G9 ThinQ. We even got the renders of the new LG G9 ThinQ leaked that revealed waterdrop notch and quad-rear cameras.
Now we have new rumours coming in that suggest the new LG G9 ThinQ will no longer a flagship smartphone from LG. Yes, the company is now planning to launch the new LG G9 ThinQ with mid-range chipset aka SD765 5G instead of the SD865 SoC. The reason for choosing the mid-range chipset is the premium price tag.
As per the source, if LG launches the LG G9 ThinQ with SD865 SoC it could cost above $1000 which will be made the users go with an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S20 series. So to reduce the cost LG has now made a plan to launch the new LG G9 ThinQ with SD765G SoC which will reduce the price of the device.
