Xiaomi launched the sub-brand probably the flagship killer POCO in 2018 and they sold a ton of POCO F1 which was touted as the most popular flagship. Now the brand has just made comeback to the smartphone market in India with its first-ever mid-range smartphone POCO X2.
So before we start the new POCO X2 is nothing but the rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi K30 4G variant. This might deal-breaker for those who were waiting for something new from the company. Anyway, the new POCO X2 will arrive in Atlantis Blue, Matrix Purple and Phoenix Red colors.
The new POCO X2 will arrive in three variants with 6GB+64GB at Rs.15,999/-, 6GB+128GB at Rs.16,999/- and 8GB+256GB at Rs.19,999/- in India. The new POCO X2 will go on sale from Feb 11 via Flipkart and mi.com. The launch offer includes a flat Rs.1000/- cashback for ICICI bank users.
The new POCO X2 comes with an almost similar design as the Redmi K30 4G. The new POCO X2 comes with a 3D curved frosted glass body with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device measures 8.79 mm thick and weighs 208 grams.
The POCO X2 sport 6.67 inches FHD+ IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rates. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top and HDR 10 support. The POCO X2 is powered by the same SD730G as the Redmi K20. The Redmi K30 4G comes with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage version with a microSD card slot.
The new POCO X2 features quad-rear cameras with 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.89, OIS support, 8MP 120-degrees Ultra-wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.2, 2MP depth sensor, 5MP (2MP on 4G) macro sensor with an aperture of f/2.4, 1.75μm with LED flash. It comes with 4K video recording at 30fps and 720p at 960fps. POCO X2 comes with Dual-selfie cameras with 20MP primary sensor and 2MP depth sensor.
The new POCO X2 will feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with IR blaster. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, 5G (K30 5G only), Dual Band Wifi, Dual Frequency GPS, GLONASS, NFC, FM Radio, 3.5 mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, & Bluetooth 5.0 support. The Redmi K30 4G & Redmi K30 5G also features 1217 Linear Speaker along with Smart PA.
The POCO X2 packs 4500 mAh battery with 27W fast charging support. The new POCO X2 runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top.
