Previously we saw Qualcomm bringing back the two flagship chipset per year starting from last year with SD855 & SD855+. Now the company is all set to follow the same for this year too. Yes, new rumours suggest that Qualcomm might introduce the new SD865+ later this year.
As per the source, Qualcomm will indeed launch the successor to SD865 with SD865+ by Q3 of 2020. Further, the same source also confirms that the prototypes will be made available starting from April. Anyway, the difference between the SD855 & SD855+ was just overclocked CPU & GPU for better performance and nothing else.
Anyway, the new rumours also suggest that this year’s SD865+ will too follow the same and launch with overclocked CPU & GPU but with an additional feature. So guessing what it could be? then be ready for integrated 5G modem within the SD865+ SoC.
