Qualcomm has finally unveiled the much-awaited flagship chipset the new SD865 SoC in the Annual Qualcomm meet at Hawai. The new SD865 SoC will be built on the new 7nm EUV process and comes with much faster processing speed.
The new SD865 SoC comes packed with Kyro 585 up to 2.84 GHz prime core along with Adreno 650 GPU which is 25% faster graphics rendering than the SD855+. The new SD865 SoC will also support 144 Hz display along with new Snapdragon Elite Gaming support.
The SD865 SoC will also have support for 5G networks thanks to the 2nd gen Snapdragon X55 Modem RF system. It comes with download speeds up to 7.5 Gbps. The SD865 SoC also becomes the first chipset to support the next-gen Wifi with Wifi-6. The Qualcomm SD865 SoC will come with 5th Gen AI Engine for smoother functioning and also has support for latest LPDDRX5 RAM.
The new SD865 SoC has now support for rear cameras up to 200MP, 8K Video recording, simultaneous 4K video capture along with 64MP camera shots. The camera also gets Dolby Vision video support and comes with Gigapixel speed ISP with 2Gbps speed. We can see the new SD865 SoC powering all major flagship phone by Q1 of 2020.
