Previously we saw Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi announcing the Redmi 8 series in India first which didn’t fare well due to almost similar specs. Now we have got new reports which reveal that Xiaomi is already working on a successor with Redmi 9.
As per the reports, Xiaomi will launch the new Redmi 9 by Q1 of 2020 in China. Yes, this time the brand will first launch in its Home town later will be made available globally. Further, the report also reveals the key specs of the Redmi 9.
As per the source, the Redmi 9 will now sport larger 6.6 inches Dot notch display and the resolution is unknown. The new Redmi 9 will be using the MediaTek Helio G70 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. So seems like MediaTek is planning to expand the G-series processor to budget segment with new MediaTek Helio G70 SoC.
