Earlier we saw Xiaomi, Oppo working on the under-display camera tech and might soon launch the first device. Now Samsung is all set to take the lead as it might announce the first smartphone with the under-display camera soon.
As per the reports, Samsung will begin mass production of the under-display camera sensor by the end of this month. If everything goes as per the plan then Samsung might even build almost 30,000 under-display cameras per month. This will help Samsung to launch the new under-display camera phone by early 2020.
Further, the reports state that the under-display camera might not feature with Galaxy S11 series instead might make its debut with Galaxy Fold 2. Though this news might be just rumoured as Samsung is facing difficulties to develop under-display camera as the OLED panel still distorts the light that comes into the sensor reducing the image quality.
