Samsung launched the much-awaited foldable smartphone the Samsung Galaxy Fold in MWC 2019 earlier this year. Now after almost 8 months the new Samsung Galaxy Fold has hit Indian shores. The new Samsung Galaxy Fold arrives in Cosmos Black colour and will go on pre-orders from Oct 4.
The new Samsung Galaxy Fold will start delivering from Oct 20 across India. Samsung Galaxy Fold is priced at whopping Rs.1,64,999/- in India. The new Samsung Galaxy Fold comes with an all-metal unibody design. The new Samsung Galaxy Fold sports 4.6 inches external HD+ Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio 21:9 which doubles up as 7.3 inches internal QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED display.
It uses the new Samsung Infinity Flex display and acts like a book, and closes flat and compact. It comes with a sophisticated hinge with multiple interlocking gears so that the device closes and opens without any issues. The hinge can be customized further. The new Galaxy Fold uses new polymer layer that makes the display around 50% thinner than the typical smartphone display.
The new Samsung Galaxy Fold is powered by SD855 SoC coupled with 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. The new Galaxy Fold features triple rear cameras with 16MP Ultra-Wide camera with an aperture of f/2.2, 12MP Wide-angle Camera, Dual Pixel AF, OIS, F1.5/F2.4 & 12MP Telephoto Camera, PDAF, OIS, F2.4, 2X optical zoom. It also comes with Dual selfie shooter with 10MP Selfie Camera, F2.2 & 8MP RGB sensor with an aperture of f/2.0.
That’s not all there is also another camera on the cover with 10MP Selfie Camera, having an aperture of F2.2. All this is fueled by 4380 mAh battery with Wired charging compatible with QC2.0 and AFC & wireless fast charging. It runs on Android 9 Pie with One UI on top and comes with App Continuity that converts the small screen view to larger screen view instantly.
It also features 3-way multitasking feature with WhatsApp, Microsoft Office and YouTube Premium will support this out of the box. It will come in both LTE and 5G variants. The new Galaxy Fold comes with Stereo speakers tuned by AKG along with Dolby Atmos support. It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The connectivity option includes Single SIM with 5G/4G LTE support, Dual Band Wifi, VHT80 4×4 MIMO, NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 3.1, and MST.
