After months of leaks and rumours for the much-awaited flagship from Google with Google Pixel 4 & Pixel 4 XL is finally here. The new Google Pixel 4 & Pixel 4 XL will arrive in three colours with Oh So Orange, Just Black and Clear White colours. The Google Pixel 4 cost $799 (Rs.56,000/-) for 6GB+64GB and $899 (Rs.64,000/-) for 6GB+128GB whereas the Pixel 4 XL with 6GB+64GB at $899 (Rs.64,000/-) & 6GB+128GB at $999 (Rs.72,000/-) in the US. The new Google Pixel 4 & Pixel 4 XL will be up on pre-orders from today and will go on sale from Oct 24 Globally.
The new Google Pixel 4 & Pixel 4 XL looks almost similar in terms of design this time apart and comes with Glass back with metal chassis. The Google Pixel 4 & Pixel 4 XL measures 82 mm thick and weighs 182 grams and 193 grams respectively. The new Google Pixel 4 & Pixel 4 XL features front NIR (Near-Infrared) flood emitter & dot projector, which helps to unlock via facial recognition, even in extremely low-light environments. Good news, the Motion Sense will be available everywhere except Japan.
Further the Motion Sense for gesture control, and Ambient EQ to detect ambient light and automatically optimize the display to suit your environment. The Google Pixel 4 sports 5.7 inches FHD+ OLED display whereas the Google Pixel 4 XL with 6.3 inches QHD+ OLED display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 with 90Hz refresh rates (Smooth Display). Both the devices come with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.
The Google Pixel 4 & Pixel 4 XL is powered by the SD855 SoC and not the Plus version coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage options. Pixel Neural Core is the engine for on-device processing, always-on computing, and machine learning, meaning more tasks are done on the device for performance and privacy.
The Google Pixel 4 & Pixel 4 XL features Dual rear cameras with 16MP main telephoto lens having an aperture of f/2.4, OIS+EIS, 52-degrees FOV coupled with 12.2MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.7, Dual PDAF, OIS+EIS 77-degrees FOV, PDAF and LED flash. Both the devices come with 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 90-degrees FOV along with two NIR cameras. The rear camera can record videos at 240fps in 720p and 120fps.
With Pixel 4, you can fine-tune the brightness and amount of detail in the shadows, helping with difficult shots like sunset portraits. Pixel 4 also has Live HDR+ in the viewfinder so you know exactly what your photo will look like, even when you’re using the new controls in tricky lighting.
Sadly, the Google Pixel 4 & Pixel 4 XL will ditch the fingerprint scanner for Face Scanner. Both the devices come with an IP68 rating making it Dust and water-resistant. The connectivity options include Dual SIM (nano SIM+e-SIM), Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, and NFC. The new Google Pixel 4 packs lower 2800 mAh battery whereas the Google Pixel 4 XL with 3700 mAh battery with 18W fast charging & fast wireless charging support. As expected both the Google Pixel 4 & Pixel 4 XL runs on Android 10 out of the box.
