Sony has already exited the Indian markets but still, it has a presence in some of the markets like the US, Japan and China. Later Sony has also launched the budget flagship with a mini version of Xperia 1 as Sony Xperia 5. Now one of the Japanese media has now revealed the details for the next big flagship from Sony.
As per the source, the Sony upcoming flagship will not be powered by SD855 or SD855+ SoC instead it will arrive with the latest Qualcomm chipset. The source has found the details on Sony’s firmware distribution server.
As per the server, the SoC powering the Sony flagship is listed as SDM8250 which is alleged as the SD865 SoC, yes the 2020 flagship chipset. There are few rumours about the SD865 will have two variants with 4G LTE and other with 5G support. Hope Sony offers the flagship with 5G support and it will not launch anytime sooner than MWC 2020.
