Earlier we saw tons of leaks and teasers for the successor to Realme 3 series with Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro which are officially launched in India. The new Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro will arrive in Sparkling Blue, Crystal Purple, and Crystal Green colours. The new Realme 5 will go on sale from August 27 whereas the Realme 5 Pro from Sept 4 via Realme.com and Flipkart in India. Later both the devices will be available via all leading offline retail outlets.
The new Realme 5 is priced at Rs.9999/- for 3GB+32GB, Rs.10,999/- for 4GB+64GB and Rs.11,999/- for 4GB+128GB variant. The Realme 5 Pro comes with 4GB+64GB at Rs.13,999/-, 6GB+128GB at Rs.14,999/- and 8GB+128GB at Rs.16,999/- in India. The launch offers includes Free PayTM First coupon worth Rs.750 and upto Rs.20,000/- worth benifits by paying through PayTM UPI on Realme website.
Realme finally launched the budget quad-camera phone with Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro together for the first time in India. Both the devices look strikingly similar in terms of design with gradient glossy polycarbonate back with the holographic finish and nano-mirror technique texture. The Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro measures 8.9 mm and 9.3 mm thick & weighs about 184 grams and 198 grams.
The Realme 5 sports larger 6.5 inches HD+ mini-drop display whereas the Realme 5 Pro sports 6.3 inches FHD+ display. Both the devices are protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+. The Realme 5 becomes the first device to come with SD665 SoC in India coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB storage whereas the Realme 5 Pro with SD712 SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. Both of them do come with a microSD card slot.
The Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro feature quad-rear cameras with LED flash. The Realme 5 comes with 12MP primary Sony IMX386 sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, 8MP 118° ultra-wide-angle lens with 1.12μm pixel size & f/2.25 aperture, 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 and 2MP 4cm macro sensor with EIS, PDAF, and LED flash. The Realme 5 Pro features 48MP primary 1/2.0″ Sony IMX586 sensor with an aperture of f/1.79 and other three sensor remains the same as Realme 5.
The Realme 5 features 13MP f/2.0 selfie camera whereas the Realme 5 Pro with 16MP f/2.0 Sony IMX471 sensor. Both the Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro are splash resistant similar to Redmi Note 7 Pro and comes with the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Realme 5 Pro comes with additional Dirac HD Sound support. Both the devices come with new Hyper Boost 2.0 support for smoother lag-free gaming.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi (Realme 5 Pro), Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port (Realme 5 Pro), micro USB port (Realme 5), FM Radio, and 3.5 mm audio jack. Both the Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro runs on Android 9 Pie with Color OS 6.0 on top. The Realme 5 comes with 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging and 4035 mAh battery on Realme 5 Pro with VOOC 3.0+ fast charging support.
