Google has finally revealed the official name of the upcoming iteration of Android as simply Android 10. Yes, Google has ditched the tradition of naming the Android version after the popular dessert. Sadly, the new Android 10 is still under beta development phase and has just confirmed the name.
Probably soon Google will roll out the Android 10 beta 6 to developers and we can expect it to go official sometime next month. Anyway, with Google announcing the Android 10 we have Nokia the first brand to reveal the list of devices getting the new update.
As per the tweet, the new Android 10 OS update will be rolled out to the first batch of devices by Q4 of 2019 which includes Nokia 7.1, Nokia 8.1 & Nokia 9 PureView. The second batch of devices includes Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco by Q1 of 2020.
The last lot includes Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1 & finally the Nokia 1 by Q2 of 2020. Further, Nokia also stated the actual roll-out dates will vary by region based on carrier approval.
