Earlier Samsung has started rolling out the new Android 9 Pie update to a few of its older devices. Now we have spotted the outdated Galaxy J5 (2017) & Galaxy J5 Pro (2017) running on Android 9 Pie listed on Wifi Certification.
As per the listing, the device with model number SM-J530F/DS (global version), SM-J530FM/DS (UAE version) and the SM-J530Y/G/GM/YM/DS (Malaysian version) have been spotted running on Android 9 Pie.
Further, both the Galaxy J5 (2017) & Galaxy J5 Pro (2017) received the Android 8 Oreo update last year. Looks like Samsung is fulfilling the wish of two years non-stop updates to all of its devices.
