Earlier we saw Oppo and Xiaomi showing the new under-display tech which is not yet ready for commercial purpose and is still under development. Now we have another Chinese brand which is also working on similar technology with Huawei.
Huawei has now filed a new patent with German Patent and Trademark Office for the under-display camera phone features. According to the patent, Huawei has shown the under display selfie camera when it is in use it takes the upper portion of the display but the company is planning to hide it in the form of icons under the UI.
So this is a new technique to hide the notch or round portion by an icon from the notification bar and will even show the notification when the selfie camera is still in use as it will be displayed beside the camera. Huawei doesn’t want to leave any empty space this time. From the patent drawing, we can confirm that Huawei is working something different from other brands where the camera will not be located on the top-left corner and not on the centre.
