Earlier we had few rumours about Nokia launching the new Nokia 5.2 with waterdrop notch in India. Now Nokia has dismissed all the previous rumours and announced the new Nokia 2.2 in India. The new Nokia 2.2 will arrive in Steel and Tungsten Black colours and will go on sale from June 11 via Nokia.com, Flipkart and all leading offline stores.
The new Nokia 2.2 is priced at Rs.6999/- for 2GB+16GB and Rs.7999/- for 3GB+32GB which is for a limited period till June 30 beyond this Nokia going to increase the prices. Anyway, the new Nokia 2.2 comes with the premium design and feel but is made out of polycarbonate back which is user replaceable and comes with Nokia Xpress-on covers in Pink Sand, Ice Blue and Forest Green colours.
The new Nokia 2.2 weighs 153 grams and measures 9.3 mm thick. The new Nokia 2.2 sports 5.71 inches HD+ TFT LCD display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is covered by 2.5D Curved glass on top. It is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 SoC coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage. Nokia 2.2 comes with a microSD card slot.
The new Nokia 2.2 features 13MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and LED flash along with 5MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.2. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, GLONASS, FM Radio, micro USB port and 3.5 mm audio jack. It doesn’t feature a fingerprint scanner and relies on face unlock.
The new Nokia 2.2 packs 3000 mAh battery and runs on Android 9 Pie with Android One support out of the box.
