After tons of leaks and rumours, Huawei has finally raised the curtain on the new Huawei Nova 5 series with Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro & Nova 5i. Not just that, Huawei also unveiled the new 10.8-inch tablet with Huawei MediaPad M6 in China. The new HUAWEI Nova 5i comes in Black, Blue and Red colours whereas the HUAWEI Nova 5 & Nova 5 Pro comes in Black, Purple and Green colours.
The new HUAWEI Nova 5i is priced at 1999 Yuan (Rs.20,300/-) for 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB at 2199 Yuan (Rs.22,250/-) and goes on sale from June 28. The Huawei Nova 5 comes with 8GB+128GB at 2799 Yuan (Rs.28,400/-) and goes on sale from July 20 whereas the Huawei Nova 5 Pro 8GB+128GB at 2999 Yuan (Rs.30,400/-) and 8GB+256GB at 3399 Yuan (Rs.34,500/-) and goes on sale from June 28.
Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro and Nova 5i:
Huawei has finally updated its Nova lineup with three new devices Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro & Nova 5i. All the three comes with a gradient 3D glass back with quad-rear cameras being common. The new Huawei Nova 5 & Nova 5 Pro measures 7.33 mm thick whereas the Huawei Nova 5i with 8.3 mm thick. Both the Nova 5 & Nova 5 Pro weighs 171 grams and Nova 5i at 178 grams.
The new Huawei Nova 5 & Nova 5 Pro sports 6.39 inches FHD+ waterdrop OLED HDR display whereas the new Huawei Nova 5i with 6.4 inches FHD+ IPS LCD punch-hole display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The new Huawei Nova 5 is powered by a latest 7nm process based Huawei Kirin 810 SoC coupled with just 8GB RAM and 128GB storage whereas the Huawei Nova 5 Pro with Kirin 980 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage and the Huawei Nova 5i with Kirin 710 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage option.
All the devices come with microSD card slot for further storage expansion. The new Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro & Nova 5i features quad-rear cameras with LED flash. The Huawei Nova 5 & Nova 5 Pro features 48MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, 16MP Ultra-wide sensor with an aperture of f/2.2, 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 and 2MP 4cm macro lens with f/2.4 aperture along with LED flash, PDAF and CAF. The Huawei Nova 5i features 24MP primary rear camera with an aperture of f/1.8, 8MP Ultra-wide sensor with an aperture of f/2.2, 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 and 2MP 4cm macro lens with f/2.4 aperture along with LED flash, PDAF and CAF.
The new Huawei Nova 5 & Nova 5 Pro features 32MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0 whereas the new Huawei Nova 5i comes with 24MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0 and 0.9μm pixel size. Huawei Nova 5i features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner whereas the Huawei Nova 5 & Nova 5 Pro with in-display fingerprint tech.
The connectivity option on the Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro & Nova 5i includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC (only on Nova 5 Pro), USB Type-C port, and no 3.5 mm audio jack. The new Huawei Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro packs 3500 mAh battery with 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge fast charging and 4000 mAh battery on the Huawei Nova 5i. All the three runs on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.1 on top.
Huawei MediaPad M6 10.8 inches & 8.4 inches:
Further, Huawei also launches the latest tablet under the MediaPad lineup with the new Huawei MediaPad M6 in two different screen sizes with 8.4 inches and 10.8 inches. HUAWEI MediaPad M6 8.4″ comes in Champagne Gold colour whereas the MediaPad M6 10.8″ with Dark grey colour. The new MediaPad M6 10.8″ will go on sale from July 10 whereas the MediaPad M6 8.4″ from July 20 in China.
The new HUAWEI MediaPad M6 8.4″ only Wifi variant starts from 1999 Yuan (Rs.20,200) for 4GB+64GB and 4G+Wifi with 4GB+64GB at 2399 Yuan (Rs.24,300/-). The HUAWEI MediaPad M6 10.8″ only Wifi with 4GB+64GB at 2299 Yuan (Rs.23,250/-) and with 4G at 2699 Yuan (Rs.27,300/-) in China.
The new HUAWEI MediaPad M6 8.4″ & HUAWEI MediaPad M6 10.8″ comes with an all-metal unibody design with similar looks and thicker bezels. HUAWEI MediaPad M6 8.4″ measures 7.4 mm thick and weighs 320 grams whereas the HUAWEI MediaPad M6 10.8″ measures 7.2mm thick and weighs 498 grams.
The new HUAWEI MediaPad M6 8.4″ & HUAWEI MediaPad M6 10.8″ sports 8.4 inches and 10.8 inches 2K WQXGA 16:10 aspect ratio display with 2.5D curved glass on top. Both the HUAWEI MediaPad M6 8.4″ & HUAWEI MediaPad M6 10.8″ are powered by Kirin 980 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. It also features a microSD card slot for further storage expansion.
HUAWEI MediaPad M6 8.4″ & HUAWEI MediaPad M6 10.8″ features a single 13MP rear camera with AF and PDAF whereas there is 8MP selfie shooter. Both the tablets comes with Harman Kardon-certified Dual speakers (8.4 inches) and Quad speakers (10.8 inches) along with Huawei Histen sound effect and Hi-Res Audio.
