Earlier we saw Samsung announcing the world’s first 64MP GW1 sensor which using similar binning tech as seen on the earlier 48MP sensor. Later we had rumours about Samsung working on the first smartphone with a 64MP camera. Further rumours suggest that Redmi will become the first to launch the World’s first 64MP camera phone.

Now even the earlier rumours turn out to be fake as Realme officially announces that they are working on the world’s first 64MP camera phone using Samsung made GW1 sensor. Further, Realme CEO also shared the first 64MP camera shot captured using the upcoming smartphone.

Further, the Realme CEO stated that the new Samsung GW1 sensor with an aperture of f/1.72 and 1.6µm pixel produces amazing clear shots even in low light condition. Further, Realme has also shared the first renders showing the upcoming Realme 64MP quad camera phone.

From the image, we can see the quad camera setup aligned vertically with the 64MP main sensor with a Dual-tone LED flash beside it. From the image, we can see that the second sensor might use a wide-angle lens but it could also turn out to be Oppo like 10x zoom based sensor. The Weibo post tells that the new Realme 64 MP phone will launch by the second half of 2019. Anyway, stay tuned for a few more details leaked in the coming days.
