As promised Xiaomi has finally unveiled the successor to the Xiaomi Black Shark which was launched last year with Xiaomi Black Shark 2 in China. The new Xiaomi Black Shark 2 comes in Shadow Black, Frozen Silver, and Mirage Blue colors. The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is already up on sale in China.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is priced at 3199 Yuan (Rs.32,800/-) for 6GB+128GB, 3499 Yuan (Rs.35,800/-) for 8GB+128GB, 3799 Yuan (Rs.38,850/-) for 8GB+256GB and top-end 12GB+256GB model at 4199 Yuan (Rs.43,000/-).
The new Xiaomi Black Shark 2 looks similar to original with the same design featuring metal and glass back with upgraded ‘X-style’ unique antenna design for better reception, RGB logo on the back. The new Xiaomi Black Shark 2 measures 8.77 mm thick and weighs around 205 grams.
The new Xiaomi Black Shark 2 sports 6.39 inches FHD+ 19.5:9 aspect ratio display with an in-display fingerprint scanner on top. The new Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is powered by SD855 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. It comes with unique Hidden press sensitive controls for the display along with AI gaming experience.
As it is gaming smartphone the Black Shark 2 comes with the latest liquid cooling 3.0 with Tower-wide global liquid cooling system which uses liquid-cooled plate + liquid-cooled tube for better cooling and reduces CPU Core temperature up to 14° C.
The new Xiaomi Black Shark 2 features Dual rear cameras with primary 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor having an aperture of f/1.75, 0.8μm pixel size, along with secondary 12MP 1/3.6″ Samsung S5K3M5 telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.2, 1.0μm pixel size and 2x lossless zoom with LED flash. The new Xiaomi Black Shark 2 comes with 20MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0 and 0.9μm pixel size.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE and Dual VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, and USB Type-C port. The new Xiaomi Black Shark 2 packs 4000 mAh battery with 27W fast charging support that offers 30 mins of gaming by charging just for 5 mins. The new Xiaomi Black Shark 2 runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box.
