Earlier Honor has promised will soon update its 2018 lineup to the latest Android 9 Pie and now the company has started rolling out the update to its latest mid-range smartphone Honor 8X.
As per the source, Honor has started pushing out the Android 9 Pie update to the new Honor 8X sold in Macedonia which will be later pushed to other countries. The new Android 9 Pie update brings the latest EMUI 9.0.1 which weighs around whopping 3.41GB in size. So it is recommended to download the update via a stable Wifi connection.
The new update brings faster app launch, improved sound recording, Huawei Share 3.0 and other Android 9 Pie features to the new Honor 8X. Earlier Honor India announced the Honor 8X in India will receive the update from March 18 which never happened so we expect to soon Indian units to receive the update in batches in coming weeks.
